MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree or two-years of college or technical school certification in Criminal Justice or related field AND 5-8 years in investigative experience OR
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Criminal Justice or related field AND 1-3 years in investigative experience.

- Successfully complete a background investigation

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The listed examples may not include all the duties performed by all positions in this class.
- Conducts investigations of alleged or suspected violations of public assistance laws, rules and regulations.
- Prepares welfare fraud cases to be submitted to the County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
- Investigates and settles fraudulent case situations administratively according to MN State Statutes and the Intentional Program Violation Process.
- Maintain proper case records and effective case management systems.
- Perform related administrative functions.
