Job Description
Summary:
Join a nationally respected complex litigation team focused on high-stakes insurance fraud and recovery actions. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate with 2+ years of experience to work on matters involving civil fraud, insurance coverage disputes, and racketeering claims. While direct experience with RICO, bad faith, or whistleblower litigation is a plus, strong litigators with the ability to learn and adapt are encouraged to apply. You’ll play a key role in developing case strategy, conducting investigations, and driving civil enforcement against fraudulent actors.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage complex civil matters involving insurance fraud, RICO litigation, and civil recovery actions
  • Conduct examinations under oath (EUO), depositions, and written discovery
  • Investigate fraudulent claims and draft detailed coverage analyses and opinions
  • Support litigation strategies through legal research, motion work, and forensic review
  • Collaborate with experienced litigators on enforcement and recovery actions

Experience You’ll Need:
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice in California
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
  • Exposure to or strong interest in insurance coverage, bad faith, or civil fraud litigation (training available)
  • Excellent writing, research, and strategic communication skills
  • Strong time management and case organization ability

Why Join:
  • Competitive base salary with generous weekly, monthly, and quarterly bonus structure
  • Hybrid flexibility with secure, modern infrastructure for remote collaboration
  • Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, FSA, disability, life)
  • Pet insurance and referral program
  • In-house litigation development through “University” training platform
  • Opportunities to mediate, arbitrate, and try cases with mentorship from experienced ABOTA trial attorneys
