Our client, an industry leader in the communication space, has the need for a talented Payment and Fraud Systems Architect. The role is Hybrid and provides some flexible work from home days with at least 3 days per week being spent in either our clients Atlanta, GA or Bellevue, WA office location.

The chosen Payment and Fraud Systems Architect will build scalable, secure, and high-performance payment and fraud management solutions for our client. This role focuses on payment processing, in-house tokenization, fraud detection, and risk mitigation across e-commerce, in-store, and mobile channels.  You will help define software development processes and ensure alignment to security, compliance, and scalability methodologies for payment and fraud platforms.

What should your past be filled with?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 5-10 years working in a business environment, preferably within payments, fraud prevention, financial services, or e-commerce
  • 5-10 years working as a software or systems architect, engineer, or programmer, with expertise in scalable, high-availability platforms
  • B2C online e-commerce systems architecture and design experience
  • Secure mobile payment solutions such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or QR-based payments experience

Some thing that will get you to the front of the line:

  • Previous experience working with payments architecture, tokenization, and transaction processing, including real-time authorization, settlement, and reconciliation workflows.
  • Previous experience working in fraud prevention, risk management systems, and security architecture, with knowledge of fraud scoring models, ML driven, fraud detection, and chargeback management.
  • Previous experience with cloud-based payment processing architectures, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, or serverless computing models

Highly Desirable are technology certifications (such as Java, Microsoft, Oracle, AWS, TOGAF, or security-focused certifications like CISSP, CISM, PCI-ISA)
